PSV’s Denzel Dumfries remains a major target for Inter manager Simone Inzaghi, who still prefers the 25-year-old to other options.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri boss has not given up hope of signing the Dutchman.

The Nerazzurri will only sign the player this summer if they are able to bring him in on loan with a purchase option, but should this be possible then they will seriously move for him.

Dumfries remains at the top of the club’s list for options to replace Achraf Hakimi on the right after the Moroccan’s departure for Paris Saint-Germain, and he would be open to a move.

Other targets remain in the search for Hakimi’s heir, however, with Chelsea’s Davide Zappacosta still in the club’s sights and talks ongoing for Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez who could play in the right-sided position should he arrive.
