Inter striker Romelu Lukakun is back in training with the rest of the Nerazzuri squad after returning from his vacation.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Belgian has linked up with new coach Simone Inzaghi for the first time, with the club deeming him to be a key figure in their plans and not up for sale.

Lukaku had been enjoying his holidays for the past several weeks, with the exertions of a long club season and then his subsequent EURO 2020 participation with Belgium leading to his needing some rest.

However, the 28-year-old is excited to be back with his teammates and to be working with Inzaghi.

Even during his holidays, the 28-year-old had spent time training and working out, and he returns to be with the rest of the squad as a leader figure both for his work on the pitch and for his attitude and determination.

The Belgian is ready to be a big influence at the club next season, where he is completely happy, and the club for their part consider him to be an absolutely vital player, with CEO Beppe Marotta describing him as “absolutely non-transferrable.”
