Young striker Samuele Mulattieri has renewed his contract with Inter in preparation for a loan move to Serie B side Cagliari.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who report that the 20-year-old has extended his deal to the summer of 2023 with an option for a further season, and that this represents the last step before he completes the loan move to the Calabrian club.

Mulattieri returned from a loan spell in the Erste Divisie with Volendam, and the Nerazzurri have been considering the player’s future with the right loan move to foster his development considered to be the priority.

Numerous clubs in Italy as well as across Europe showed an interest in the young striker, but Crotone are all set to win the race for his signature with confirmation expected today.

Before he goes, the Nerazzurri have shown faith in the player by ensuring that he will still have a place at the club when he returns from Calabria, hopefully having developed further within the Italian game.
