Premier league club Arsenal have inquired about the availability of Inter’s Argentinian international striker Lautaro Martinez.

This according to UK news outlet The Telegraph, who report that the Argentine is one of a number of strikers being pursued by the Gunners during the summer transfer window.

Arsenal are looking to bolster the attacking options available to head coach Mikel Arteta during the upcoming season, and a number of targets have come up for consideration.

Martinez appears to be a player who they are serious about in their interest, with the London club having made contact with the Nerazzurri over the possibility of signing him in the summer.

As it stands, the Nerazzurri have made clear their stance that they do not wish to let go of the 23-year-old, as they have already done in the case of interest from a number of other major clubs, though it remains to be seen whether the Gunners will step up their pursuit.
