Inter are getting closer to a deal for Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez, with the club coming to an agreement with his current club over a deal for the player with his current club.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, via FCInter1908, who report that the Rossoblu have accepted the Nerazzurri’s offer for the 25-year-old of a €5 million initial loan fee.

The Nerazzurri have stepped up their pursuit of Nandez recently, with the versatile Uruguayan seen as having the capability to both play in central midfield and fill in on the right side of the team, making him a potential replacement for Achraf Hakimi after the Moroccan’s sale to Paris Saint-Germain.

The player has already agreed terms with the Nerazzurri, and talks have been ongoing between Inter and his current club, and it now looks as though he could soon be on his way to the Giuseppe Meazza from Sardinia.

With Cagliari accepting Inter’s proposed fee for the initial loan, with an option to buy the player on a permanent basis included in the deal, the deal could be finalized soon to make Nandez an Inter player for next season.
