Inter are set to bring in young Slovenian defender Matjaz Samo from S.P.A.L. for next season.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the 17-year-old will play for the Primavera side under newly-appointed manager Christian Chivu.

Samo has yet to make any appearances for S.P.A.L.’s senior team since joining from Slovenian club NK Brinje Grosuple this February, but his performances at the Under-17 have nevertheless attracted the attention of the Nerazzurri.

The club plan to buy the youngster on a permanent basis from the Emilia-Romagna-based club where he is currently under contract, and the Slovenian is ready to sign his contract and join up with the Inter youth sector.

For next season the player will be part of the Nerazzurri system rather than being immediately sent out on loan, and it is hoped that his talent will develop well under the supervision of new head coach Chivu.
