Inter could look to bring in both Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez and one of Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin or PSV’s Denzel Dumfries this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri could move for Nandez as a central midfielder should departures coming in the centre of the pitch.

The Nerazzurri are stepping up their pursuit of Nandez, with talks thought to be advanced with his current club concerning the arrival of the 25-year-old.

The versatile Uruguayan could be used as a direct replacement for the departed Achraf Hakimi on the right, with the player having demonstrated his proficiency at right-wing-back under Rossoblu manager Leonardo Semplici last season.

However, the Nerazzurri are also continuing to hope that Arsenal can be persuaded to allow Bellerin to join on loan with an option to buy, with the 26-year-old’s agent set to meet with the Gunners next week to try and convince them.

Meanwhile, the club have not given up in their pursuit of PSV right-back Denzel Dumfries, with the Dutchman thought to be another priority target on the right.

Either Bellerin or Dumfries could still arrive even if Nandez does as well, but in this instance Nandez would likely be used primarily in the centre of the pitch, in which case there would have to first be an exit for a midfielder, with Arturo Vidal in particular a player that the Nerazzurri are hoping to offload this summer.
