Inter could lose out on long-term target Emerson Palmieri, with his current club Chelsea looking to offer him to Sevilla as part of a deal for French defender Jules Kounde.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the English club are intent on signing Kounde, and that they are exploring the possibility of an exchange deal involving Emerson.

Emerson had been offered to Inter already this summer as part of a potential player-plus-cash offer for Achraf Hakimi before the Moroccan eventually moved to Paris Saint-Germain.

With Hakimi moving to PSG over Chelsea, the English club have no longer offered the 26-year-old to Inter, though the Nerazzurri have continued to consider him a target as they look to potentially strengthen the left-sided options available to manager Simone Inzaghi.

Their hopes of signing the Italian could soon by over, however, with the player potentially on his way to Spain as part of a deal for Kounde.
