Newly-appointed Roma head coach Jose Mourinho wants to sign Inter’s Ivan Perisic, and could offer Alessandro Florenzi in return for the Croatian.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper la Repubblica, who report that the Croatian is a major target for the Giallorossi boss, and that he is willing to part ways with the Italian to make it happen.

Perisic had a strong campaign under Antonio Conte last season as he became a regular in the team which won the Scudetto, but his future with the Nerazzurri is unclear, with the 32-year-old on high wages and entering the final year of his current deal with the club.

Florenzi is among the Nerazzurri’s list of targets to replace Achraf Hakimi on the right, and with the Italian commanding similar wages to Perisic a swap deal could appeal to the club.

It remains to be seen whether the Nerazzurri will be willing to accept such an arrangement, but for now the Giallorossi’s interest in the Croatian winger is known.
