Inter’s deal for Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez may not arrive in the next day or two, but should likely be completed in due time.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri and the Rossoblu are in ongoing talks for the Uruguayan and that signs point to an agreement being on the way.

The two clubs are working on the formula for a deal which would see the 25-year-old arrive on loan initially with a purchase option, with discussions still thought to be remaining to work out a loan fee as the Sardinian club continue to hold out for €5 million.

However, talks are headed in the right direction and the Sardinians are happy to keep the process moving along, with several other players’ situations being discussed as part of talks including talks to finally complete a permanent move for Radja Nainggolan to Cagliari.

The Rossoblu have also stepped up their interest for S.P.A.L. right-winger Gabriel Espeto, a player whom head coach Leonardo Semplici has worked with while with the Emilia-Romagna club, indicating that they are ready to move on from Nandez.
