Former Juventus and Fiorentina midfielder Agenlo Di Livio has given his thoughts on newly-appointed Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi.

Speaking to Italian news outlet TuttoJuve.com, the 55-year-old stated that he expects that the new Nerazzurri manager will want to hit the ground running and have immediate success with his new club.

The Italian tactician arrives from Lazio after the departure of former head coach Antonio Conte, and he will know that the pressure is on him to deliver results after the success that the club experienced under his predecessor.

While Inzaghi was widely praised for the results achieved by his Lazio team, with the Biancocelesti winning the Coppa Italia and securing Champions League football under his stewardship, the expectations will be different at Inter, where he is taking over a club who won the Scudetto recently.

Di Livio makes note of this fact, suggesting that the new Inter boss will be among the new coaches in Serie A who feel that they have something to prove during the upcoming season.

Next season, the former midfielder stated, “will be very interesting because the top teams, with the exception of Atalanta and Milan, have changed their technical leadership. Those who have arrived will want to try to win, such as Simone Inzaghi with Inter. We’ll see what happens.”
