Inter do not want to part ways with midfielder Matias Vecino despite the interest of Napoli in bringing the Uruguayan in this summer.

This according to Sky Sport Italia journalist Luca Marchetti, who reported to Radio Marte that the Partenopei could make an offer for Vecino although it might be difficult, and that the Nerazzurri are unlikely to make a deal that would see the player depart.

Napoli are looking to sign a midfielder this summer after an injury to Diego Demme that could rule the German out for an extended part of next season, and Vecino is reported to be one of their top targets.

The player is liked by Partenopei head coach Luciano Spalletti, who spent two seasons together with the midfielder while he was in charge of the Nerazzurri.

However, Marchetti reports that a move could be financially difficult for the Partenopei, and that they would likely only make their approach after they have brought in revenue from the transfer market.

Moreover, he notes that Inter have no intention of selling the player, who they still regard as a valued member of the squad.
