Inter are expecting that midfielder Marcelo Brozovic will agree to a contract renewal with the club, with talks set to begin soon.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Coriere dello Sport, who report that the club’s optimism is growing that the Croatian will agree terms and sign his new contract soon.

Brozovic is considered a highly important player by the Nerazzurri, and with his current deal set to run out at the end of June 2022, the club are on alert as they do not wish to let him go into the final season of his contract as a risk to depart on a free transfer next summer but also are determined not to sell him.

Talks over an extension to his current deal are expected to begin next week, and the Nerazzurri are optimistic that an agreement will be able to be reached, as the player is thought to want to stay and renew with the club.
