Talks are progressing between Inter and Cagliari over a move for Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez, although there is still some distance between the clubs on the finances involved in a deal.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that €2 million now separate the two clubs on the question of a loan fee for the Uruguayan, along with negotiating on add-ons.

The Nerazzurri have stepped up their pursuit of the versatile Uruguayan recently, and talks are ongoing between themselves and the Rossoblu to work out a deal that would see him arrive at Inter on loan with an option to buy.

As it stands, the Nerazzurri are holding firm to the amount of €2 million as a loan fee, while the Rossoblu are still hoping for at least €4 million, and the clubs are willing to continue to negotiate though as of yet no agreement has been found.

The clubs are also working to define the amount for the fee that the Nerazzurri will have to pay to make the loan move permanent, which will end up somewhere above €20 million, and on the question of add-ons.

There is still distance between the two clubs, though the feeling is that they will be able to reach an agreement eventually.
