Inter could allow Ivan Perisic to leave to join Roma in exchange for Giallorossi wing-back Alessandro Florenzi.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Il Messaggero, who report that the clubs are working on a possible swap deal involving the two players.

Perisic is thought to be a target for the capital club, and with the Croatian entering the final year of his deal with the Nerazzurri not planning to renew and considering offloading his wages from their balance sheet, he could be allowed to leave this summer in the hopes of monetizing his departure.

Florenzi, meanwhile, is among the names who have come up in the Nerazzurri’s search for a right-sided player to take over from Achraf Hakimi after the Moroccan’s sale to Paris Saint-Germain.

The 30-year-old Italian has spent the past season and a half on loan with Valencia and then PSG, and it is thought that the Giallorossi would be happy to let him leave.

An exchange for the two players could be worked out, though for now the two clubs are only in discussions and not thought to be close to an agreement.
