Inter have completed the signing of young Slovenian defender Samo Matjaz from Serie B club S.P.A.L.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who report that the 17-year-old arrives on a three-year deal with the Nerazzurri.

The Nerazzurri’s interest in bringing in the young Slovenian has been reported for some days, and now his signing has arrived, with the player set to join the club’s youth sector.

Matjaz has not featured for S.P.A.L.’s senior team since joining the Emilia-Romagna club from Slovenian outfit NK Brinje Grosuplje in February, but his performances with their Under-17 side have earned him a move to the Nerazzurri at his young age.

The 17-year-old is a signing for the future and it remains to be seen whether the Nerazzurri intend to keep the player in their youth ranks or send him out on loan, but the priority will be overseeing the development of his talent into the senior game.
