Nahitan Nandez has been promised a departure from Cagliari this summer, and the 25-year-old has made his choice that he wants a move to Inter.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the player only wants a move to the Nerazzurri and that the Rossoblu are amenable to making sure it is able to happen.

Nandez has emerged as a priority target for Inter in recent weeks, as the club have stepped up their pursuit for the versatile Uruguayan, who is thought to be an option to replace Achraf Hakimi on the right due to his proficiency in the right-wing-back role under Rossoblu coach Leonardo Semplici last season.

Talks between Inter and Cagliari are ongoing and in an advanced stage, and the player’s will could play a decisive factor in pushing an agreement over a deal over the line.

The Uruguayan is awaiting confirmation that he will be an Inter player next season, and the Rossoblu president is committed to facilitating this desire.
