Inter are still interested in Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin, but only as a Plan B option should they not be able to sign Nahitan Nandez from Cagliari.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who report that the Spanish left-back’s agent is hard at work trying to convince his current club to sanction a move to Inter, but the Nerazzurri are focusing on trying to complete the signing of Nandez.

The arrival of a player who can replace Achraf Hakimi on the right after the Moroccan’s departure for Paris Saint-Germain is a priority for the Nerazzurri in the summer transfer window, with a number of names having been linked as part of their search.

Nandez now appears to be the arrival which they are most keen on, with the club reported to be in advanced talks with Cagliari for the versatile Uruguayan who proved last season under Rossoblu coach Leonardo Semplici that he can perform in the right-wing-back position proficiently.

Bellerin is also still on the Nerazzurri’s radar, with the player having agreed personal terms on a move and handed in a transfer request at Arsenal.

However, the Gunners have shown great reluctance to accept Inter’s offer to take the 26-year-old on loan with an option to buy, and his agent is still attempting to persuade them to agree a move.

As it stands, it is Nandez who the Nerazzurri are closest to a move to, though they have not moved on from Bellerin.
