Inter are considering adding a final pre-season friendly after those already scheduled, with the club aiming to bring the squad to full fitness for the upcoming season.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that a friendly against a Serie C side could be played after those scheduled against the likes of Parma and Dynamo Kiev.

The Nerazzurri’s pre-season has been chaotic and the club have involved several interruptions, with the planned attendance at the Florida Cup event cancelled due to COVID-19 fears, and the club having also withdrawn from a scheduled friendly against Atletico Madrid in Israel.

In addition to this, the squad has been filtering in long after the beginning of pre-season training, with a number of important players having been involved with their national teams well into the Euros and the Copa America and granted extended vacation.

The club have nevertheless given the squad a pre-season in spite of these setbacks, with a 6-0 win in a friendly against Crotone a recent highlight, but they may choose to play one more friendly with the aim of getting more minutes in the legs of certain squad members and ensuring the ideal tactical preparation.

The club will face Parma in a friendly clash on August 8, and then Dynamo Kiev six days later in another friendly on August 14, but they could add one more friendly to their calendar prior to the season opener against Genoa on August 21.
