Inter target Felipe Caicedo would welcome a move to Inter, with the Lazio striker hoping that a deal will be made for him this summer.

This according to the Ecuadorian’s agent Matteo Materazzi, who clarified to Italian news outlet L’Interista that no contacts have been made for the striker but that he would like to reunite with Simone Inzaghi at Inter.

The Nerazzurri are in search of a striker in the summer transfer window, with the club hoping for an arrival in forward areas who can back up starting centre forward Romelu Lukaku.

Caicedo is thought to be a player who has the right profile to deputize for the Belgian, and has a good working relationship with newly-appointed Nerazzurri head coach Simone Inzaghi, with whom he has spent four years together at Lazio while the Italian was in charge of the Biancocelesti.

The 32-year-old could be a solid arrival who would slot right into the new manager’s tactical setup, but for now no contact has been made for him.

However, should an offer arrive the Ecuadorian would happily accept, according to his agent.

“Felipe would happily join Inter,” said Materazzi, continuing that “At the moment there has been no contact but we are waiting for a call.”
