Inter target Nahitan Nandez has not reported for training with Cagliari despite having returned to Italy from his holidays, indicating that the Rossoblu may be close to allowing him to leave.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who note that the 25-year-old was scheduled to make his return to be with the rest of the squad of his current club, but that he was given permission to not attend.

The Nerazzurri are thought to be in advanced talks with the Sardinians over the versatile Uruguayan’s signature, having stepped up their pursuit with a view to making him the replacement for Achraf Hakimi on the right side of the squad next season.

Discussions are thought to have gotten close to an agreement between the club on a move for the Uruguayan, and the fact that he has not been expected to appear at the Rossoblu would seem to indicate that a final agreement which would make him an Inter player is close at hand.
