Torino are targeting Inter midfielder Matias Vecino, with the Piedmont club looking to strengthen the options in central areas available to new head coach Ivan Juric.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper La Stampa, who list the 29-year-old Uruguayan as one of the Granata’s primary targets for their midfield project.

Vecino is a player who the Nerazzurri will hope to have available for next season, with the Uruguayan thought to be admired by new head coach Simone Inzaghi, and ready to return from his injury setbacks of last season to make a strong contribution.

However, there is transfer interest in the midfielder, with Napoli thought to be closely tracking him during the summer window.

They are reportedly joined by Torino, who consider him to be top of their list for a central midfielder alongside Spezia’s Giulio Maggiore.

It remains to be seen if the Nerazzurri will be willing to consider an offer from the Granata, or if they will be unable to bring the player in this summer.
