Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana would rather move to Inter than Lyon despite Ajax already having an agreement in place with the French side, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by TMW, Ajax have already agreed on a fee of €8 million for the goalkeeper but he has not yet found a personal agreement with the French side. It is now believed that this is because he is aware of Inter’s interest.

Inter’s first choice goalkeeper is still Samir Handanovic but he will be retiring very soon as he is 39-years-old. Inter need to plan for his successor but they are not in a financial position to buy Andre Onana this summer. That is why if the deal is to materialise, he will have to wait until next summer when it would be free transfer

Andre Onana is currently banned from football for a doping violation.
