Inter are hoping to force PSV Eindhoven into allowing Denzel Dumfries to leave the club on a loan deal rather than a permanent transfer, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, PSV Eindhoven are not entertaining the idea of loaning Denzel Dumfries out, but they have been very vocal in saying he is for sale and bids will be listened to.

In terms of his footballing ability, the Dutchman is the first choice of both Simone Inzaghi and the hierarchy at the Nerazzurri, but the figures being quoted by PSV Eindhoven right now are simply too high for Inter to entertain.

The longer the summer wears on though, the more likely it is that PSV Eindhoven will be forced into sanctioning a loan with an option or obligation to buy.

It is a risk for Inter though who may be wiser signing Hector Bellerin straight away.
