Ex-Fiorentina and Empoli player Manuel Pasqual has suggested that Inter will be able to pick up where they left off with Simone Inzaghi in charge despite it often taking a new coach some time to find their rhythm, according to a report in the Italian media.

Whilst speaking to TMW, Manuel Pasqual showed that he has faith in Inter to seamlessly transition into the new campaign despite the departure of Antonio Conte and his swift replacement with Simone Inzaghi from Lazio.

“Inter start with a step forward. Conte managed to make his mark last season and Inzaghi will be able to continue the path.”

The team that Manuel Pasqual seems to think will be the biggest threat to Inter’s title defence hopes are Juventus. Despite the very tricky 2020/21 season under Andrea Pirlo, Juventus now have Massimiliano Allegri back in charge and a very talented squad.

“Allegri’s return will give Juventus the right balance to return to fight for the Scudetto.”

Not necessarily in a title-fighting sense, Manuel Pasqual wished his former club, Fiorentina, a good season after the internal confusion around Gennaro Gattuso’s appointment and swift departure less than a month later.

“Then I hope for Fiorentina: after the chaos following Gattuso I hope we can find the right way to return to the levels that compete with him.”
