Inter may make a move for Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic towards the end of this summer if contract talks with Marcelo Brozovic do not go well, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Miralem Pjanic is a left-field transfer option for Inter that would require a lot of circumstances to change if it were to come off.

The Bosnian is destined to leave Barcelona this summer as they do not want to continue paying his wages. The Catalans even offered to terminate his contract and not receive a transfer fee but the player declined.

A return to Juventus on loan is his most likely destination but Inter are monitoring the situation. Both sides would need Barcelona to pay at least half of his wages during the loan deal as he currently earns around €8.5 million a year at the Catalan side.
