Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen will return to Milan for the first time since his cardiac arrest next week to undergo medical tests to help decide his future, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Dane will undergo various medical tests that will go a long way to deciding if it is safe for him to continue playing professional football for Inter.

He will also meet up with Simone Inzaghi and his teammates for the first time since the event in Copenhagen.

Christian Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch during Denmark’s first game of Euro 2020 against Finland. He was given CPR on the pitch and then taken to the hospital where it was confirmed that he was awake and talking.

Since being discharged from the hospital he has spent time recovering with his family in his house in Odense.
