Irish youngster Kevin Zefi has arrived in Milan so that he can sign his contracts and officially begin his journey with Inter, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FcINternews, the 16-year-old left-winger has landed in Northern Italy so that he can link up with Inter’s youth setup and get to work on this new stage of his career.

Kevin Zefi has joined from Irish side Shamrock Rovers and becomes a rare case of an Irish youngster choosing to move abroad rather than stay in Ireland and continue playing there.

During the chase to clinch the signing of Kevin Zefi, it became clear that Juventus and PSV Eindhoven were also chasing the talented young player.

He will likely spend some years in the Primavera before being in contention to enjoy some loan spells at smaller teams in the Italian football pyramid before hopefully playing for the first team.
