Lazio forward Joaquin Correa has spoken to new boss Maurizio Sarri about how much he wants to leave the club this summer, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Corriere di Roma, Joaquin Correa returned to the Lazio headquarters to undergo standard pre-season medical tests and meet up with the new coach who used to manage Napoli, Chelsea, and Juventus.

Some at the club hoped that despite making it clear at the end of the season that he is now finished with Lazio, he may have had a change of heart.

That is not what seems to be the case, even though no formal bids have been placed for his services yet. Inter are monitoring the situation very closely because if Lautaro Martinez does decide to leave the club this summer, Joaquin Correa would be a very popular replacement.

Arsenal appear the most interested in Lautaro Martinez right now.
