Inter look to be close to signing Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez, with Rossoblu president Tommaso Giulini ready to let the player leave for Inter.

This according to Italian news outlet La Repubblica, who report that the result of the latest meeting between Inter and Cagliari has pointed the way to the Uruguayan’s move to the Nerazzurri being completed soon, possibly within the next 24-48 hours.

Nandez is intent on making the switch to the Giuseppe Meazza this summer, with the 25-year-old thought to have already agreed personal terms on the move, and the Cagliari president is prepared to respect his wish.

It is thought that after the latest meeting, talks for the Uruguayan’s loan move with a purchase option will be downhill, with the clubs close enough on the terms of the deal that they should soon be able to reach an agreement.

Meanwhile, Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan looks set to move the other way as part of the same round of talks, with the Nerazzurri prepared to facilitate his move financially after issues of wages and severance pay have provided stumbling blocks to a transfer that has been expected throughout the summer.

Confrimation remains to be seen in both midfielders’ cases, but all signs point to a positive outcome to talks soon.
