Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti looks to be on his way out at the Giuseppe Meazza this summer, with newly-promoted Serie A side Empoli the destination.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Tuscan club look to have beaten rivals Cagliari to the 22-year-old’s signature, and are in talks over the terms of a deal, with the player’s salary the outstanding issue remaining to be worked out.

Pinamonti is thought to be a player in the shop window at Inter this summer, with the striker having been out of favour last season under Antonio Conte and not in the plans of Conte’s successor as head coach Simone Inzaghi.

A number of clubs in Italy and elsewhere in Europe have registered an interest in the 22-year-old’s signature, but Empoli now look to be the side in pole position to bring him in, though it remains to be seen if an economically suitable agreement can be found with both the player and with the Nerazzurri.
