Inter do not consider Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin as their priority target to replace Achraf Hakimi on the right side of the pitch, preferring Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri have not yet accelerated their attempts to bring in the Arsenal player because they are still holding out hope that they will be able to complete the signing of Nandez soon.

The Nerazzurri have been in talks for Bellerin, with the player thought to be keen having already agreed personal terms on a move, but his current club have been reluctant to let him go on loan with only a purchase option.

The Gunners, however, look to have softened their stance, making inroads possible for the Nerazzurri in negotiations for the 26-year-old.

However, for the time being the entire focus of the Nerazzurri is on bringing in Nandez from Cagliari, with the versatile Uruguayan seen as the best profile to replace Hakimi, and Bellerin has ceased to be a priority target for the time being.

It still remains to be seen if the Spaniard will be more closely pursued as the window goes on, but for the time being the Nerazzurri are only focusing on Nandez.
