Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has emerged as a target in Inter’s search for a goalkeeper, with the Nerazzurri having launched an initial €10.5 million bid for the 23-year-old.

This according to today’s print edition of Turkish newspaper Haberler, who report that the Turkish giants have rejected Inter’s bid but expect another offer to come in for the young goalkeeper.

The Nerazzurri are thought to be in search of a long-term successor to first-choice keeper Samir Handanovic, with the Slovenian who has held the position since 2012 currently 37 and with his contract set to expire next summer with no plans to renew.

Bayindir has established himself with the Turkish national team after impressing with his performances for Fenerbahce last season, and he has attracted interest.

The young Turkish keeper has emerged as the latest target to join the Nerazzurri’s list of possible signings in goal, though it remains to be seen if they will push to make an offer that his current club will find acceptable, or prefer other targets.
