Inter are prioritizing the signing of Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez as a replacement for Achraf Hakimi on the right, and will only pursue Hector Bellerin or Denzel Dumfries as alternatives.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Rossoblu midfielder is seen as a wing-back signing, and that his arrival would likely end the pursuits of other targets in the right-wing-back position.

The Nerazzurri have stepped up their pursuit of Nandez, and are in advanced talks with the Rossoblu for the arrival of the versatile Uruguayan.

Should he be signed, he would be seen as the main solution on the right after Hakimi’s departure for Paris Saint-Germain and the club would not prioritize another arrival in the position.

PSV’s Dumfries is still admired by the club and considered to be the highest-priority target on the right, but the Nerazzurri know that his arrival could be difficult economically speaking.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have softened their stance on a loan move with a purchase option for Bellerin, but for now the Nerazzurri are not accelerating talks over the Spaniard, with the player seen only as a backup option should Nandez not be signed.
