Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez looks to be on his way to Milan today to complete his move to Inter.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, who note that the player posted about his flight from Montevideo on Instagram and report that he will arrive in Milan after a layover in Madrid.

The Nerazzurri have stepped up their pursuit of Nandez in the last couple weeks, with the versatile Uruguayan thought to be seen as a potential replacement for Achraf Hakimi on the right after the Moroccan’s departure for Paris Saint-Germain.

Talks have moved quickly with the player’s current club, with the two sides looking close to an agreement that would allow the Nerazzurri to bring him on loan initially with an option to buy.

The Rossoblu have excused him from reporting for training as scheduled, thought to be with a view to allowing him to expedite his move to Inter, and with the player now set to fly to Milan it looks like he will be given the chance to complete the move soon.

Nandez has already agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri, and has made his desire to join the club clear, and it now looks only a matter of time before a deal is finalized.
