Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen is in Milan, and has already met with CEO Beppe Marotta as his first order of business.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Dane has not yet met with his teammates, but has had the CEO over to his home where they have spoken in person for the first time since the player’s health emergency at the Euros.

The 29-year-old has finally made his return to Italy after spending the past few weeks in Denmark recovering following the cardiac arrest he suffered during Denmark’s EURO 2020 opener against Finland.

The Dane’s schedule will see him meet with the rest of his teammates at the club’s training ground, and then undergo tests with the club’s medical staff which will hopefully shed light on whether or not he will eventually be able to make a return to the pitch for Inter.

However, before any of this he has been greeted by Marotta, with the lines of communication between player and club hoped to be kept very open and transparent throughout the process.
