Inter will look to sign Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata and Lazio’s Angel Correa should Romelu Lukaku leave for Chelsea.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the Nerazzurri will look to give a new-look attack to head coach Simone Inzaghi should the Belgian be sold.

For now, the Nerazzurri are planning to resist any offers that come for Lukaku from Chelsea, but the European champions are insistent and could still make an offer which the club and players can’t turn down.

Should the striker be persuaded to join the English club, the Nerazzurri will not stop him from leaving and will accept a sale for a sufficient fee.

If this is to be the case, the club has a plan to replace the 28-year-old and add quality to their attack, with two attackers from Serie A in their sights.

Lazio’s Correa is a player who head coach Inzaghi has worked with for several seasons while the pair were together at the Biancocelesti, and could fit right into the Italian tactician’s plans for next season.

Zapata, meanwhile, could arrive at the Giuseppe Meazza as part of a chain reaction, with Lukaku’s sale to Chelsea causing the Blues to offload striker Tammy Abraham to Atalanta, making the Colombian available from the Bergamo-based club.

At the moment all of this is entirely contingent on Lukaku changing his mind and agreeing to join Chelsea, but should he do so the Nerazzurri are prepared for the future.
