Inter could sell striker Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea this summer should the Blues’ offer rise high enough.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the English club could put forward an amount of €120 million with their next offer for the Belgian, and that the Nerazzurri could struggle to reject this amount.

The Blues have stepped up their interest in bringing Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge in recent days, with the European champions hoping to sign a top-class centre-forward in the summer and looking to have missed out on first-choice Erling Haaland.

Their first offer is believed to have been valued at €110 million, with the inclusion of Marcos Alonso alongside €100 million, and this was rejected by the Nerazzurri, who are determined to keep Lukaku.

However, the Blues are preparing another offer, and could return with an amount rising to €120 million, and should this offer come in the Nerazzurri could find this difficult to reject.

The player’s will could prove decisive, the report continues, with the 28-year-old so far having turned down the English club’s advances as he wants to remain with Inter.

However, with the English side thought to be offering net €15 million per season in wages together with talk of financial constraints at Inter forcing club to redimension the squad, Lukaku’s mind could still be changed, the report continues.

Should the 28-year-old decide that he would accept a move to Chelsea, and the Blues’ offer rise will in excess of €100 million, the Nerazzurri would begin to consider accepting a deal.
