Inter target Nahitan Nandez has spoken about being ready to continue training with Cagliari despite links to the Nerazzurri.

Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports the Uruguayan’s words upon his arrival back in Sardinia, with the midfielder speaking only of his commitment to his current club.

Nandez has been strongly linked to Inter in recent weeks, with the Nerazzurri thought to have stepped up their pursuit of the versatile Uruguayan whose profile they have identified as a potential replacement for Achraf Hakimi on the right side of the pitch.

Talks are ongoing between the Nerazzurri and his current club Cagliari on a move, but as of yet a transfer for the player has not been confirmed, and he is ready to get back to the Rossoblu rather than being distracted by links away, according to his words.

The 25-year-old advised that he is happy right now and that it is his agent who takes care of transfer matters.

“I’m glad to be back,” he said, and addressed the rumours of an Inter switch by stating “I don’t know anything yet, my head is here in Cagliari.

“I need to speak to my agent. I will not go to training camp in Aritzo, but I will be in Asseminello, training as early as tomorrow.”
