Inter could look to sign Roma striker Edin Dzeko as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku should the Belgian be sold to Chelsea.

This according to Italian news outlet La Repubblica, who report that the Bosnian could represent a reliable option to replace the striker in the event that his move to Chelsea is complete.

The Nerazurri are beginning to seriously consider rebuilding their attack without Lukaku, with Chelsea pressing vehemently for the Belgian and a deal looking increasingly likely.

One name that has now emerged as a target to replace the 28-year-old is that of Dzeko, who would be seen as an experienced option to play in the position for the short term.

Dzeko is admired by Inter directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio, and head coach Simone Inzaghi.

The 35-year-old would not be the only attacking arrival should Lukaku leave, but could be turned to as the club look to immediately add quality to the forward line with Lukaku gone.
