Former Inter striker Mauro Icardi could move to Roma from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, and the Nerazzurri could play a key role in facilitating his transfer.

This according to Italian news outlet La Repubblica, who report that the Giallorossi could move to sign the Argentine should the Nerazzurri bring in striker Edin Dzeko from them.

Dzeko has been a target of Inter in the past, and the club are considering him as an attacking reinforcement should Romelu Lukaku be sold to Chelsea.

Should the Nerazzurri end up bringing him in, the path would be clear for the Giallorossi to sign the former Inter striker Icardi, with whose wife and agent Wanda Nara they have been in contact with for weeks.

For the time being, this is still a complex chain of events which will rely on whether the Nerazzurri see a need to move for Dzeko and prioritize him over other targets, but should they move for him then former captain Icardi could make a Serie A return.
