Striker Andrea Pinamonti could be on his way out at Inter this summer, with the 22-year-old close to joining newly-promoted Serie A side Empoli on loan.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the two clubs met about a possible loan move for the player today, and that they are close to an agreement on all matters other than wages.

Pinamonti is thought to have been in the shop window at Inter this summer, with the player having struggled for game time under Antonio Conte last season and not likely to fare better under Conte’s successor as head coach Simone Inzaghi.

The Tuscan side are intent on bringing Pinamonti in as they look to strengthen the attacking options available to coach Aurelio Andreazzoli in their bid to remain in Serie A.

Agreement now looks close, although the player’s wages are still considered to be an obstacle and the two clubs have yet to come fully together on a move.
