Inter defender Milan Skriniar is ready to commit his future to the Nerazzurri, with the 26-year-old set to sign an extension with the club that will take him until the end of June 2025.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who report that the Slovak centre-back wants to remain in Milan and could officially put pen to paper in mid-September.

Skriniar’s performances for the Nerazzurri since joining from Sampdoria in the summer of 2017 have established a strong reputation, with the defender having formed part of a formidable backline alongside Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni, leading the club to the best defensive record in Serie A last season.

These performances have led to interest in the Slovak from a number of top European clubs, but the Nerazzurri are determined to secure his future amid this interest.

The club look close to getting their wish to this end, with the player reported to be ready to agree on an extension to his current deal that would signal his continued commitment to the club.
