Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen is in Milan today, where he visited the club’s Suning Training Centre in Appiano Gentile.

This is confirmed by the club on their official site, where it is noted that the Dane is recovering well and in good spirits.

Eriksen arrived yesterday where he met with CEO Beppe Marotta, and today has been greeted by the rest of the players and staff, with this the first opportunity he has gotten to meet with them.

Fans will be relieved to hear that the 29-year-old is in good condition and happy, though it remains to be seen whether he will be able to make a return to football, with the club noting that he is still on a program of recovery and that he is yet to have made much progress with the club’s medical staff with whom he will coordinate soon.

“[Eriksen] met the club directors, the coach, team-mates and all of the staff present,” states the announcement, “Eriksen is doing well and is in excellent physical and mental shape.”

The announcement further explains how the next steps of the player’s recovery will go:

“He will now follow the recovery programme put forward by Danish doctors in Copenhagen, who will also co-ordinate the clinical follow-up. The Inter medical staff will naturally be kept informed and up to date throughout the process.”
