Romelu Lukaku could agree on a move to Chelsea, though he is also happy to remain with Inter and has not requested the move.

This according to UK news outlet The Telegraph, who report that the Belgian will not turn down a move to the European champions should an agreement be found between the clubs.

The Nerazzurri had been clear up to this point that Lukaku was not for the sale, while the player was happy to commit his future to the club and has not expected to leave.

However, Chelsea have been persistent in their approach for the striker, and could make an offer which neither the Nerazzurri nor the player will refuse.

On the club’s end, an offer could arrive for €130 million in cash, or include Timo Werner, valued at €40 million, and the Nerazzurri could accept the offer.

Should this happen, Lukaku will not stand in the way of a deal, and would agree terms with Chelsea on a deal which would see him earn €250,000 net per week, making him the highest paid player in the club’s history.

The Belgian is said to be impressed with the persistence shown by the Blues in attempting to persuade him and the commitment shown to him by the size of their financial offer.
