Chelsea are ready to present an improved offer to Inter worth €120 million in cash, in addition to the inclusion of a player going the other way, for Romelu Lukaku tomorrow.

This according to online version of Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Blues’ improved offer could be enough to convince the Nerazzurri to sell the 28-year-old.

The Nerazzurri rejected Chelsea’s first offer of €100 million plus Marcos Alonso, but the English side are now expected to return with an even more substantial offer for the Belgian.

In addition to raising their cash offer by €20 million, the European champions will be willing to insert a player of the Nerazzurri’s choice as a makeweight, according to unnamed sources in London the report claims.

The report states that the Blues are optimistic that this offer will be enough to convince Inter, and that they can quickly get a deal over the line for the striker, while the Nerazzurri are still pondering what to do in the face of a massive offer.
