Inter are preparing for life without Romelu Lukaku, with Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata and Roma’s Edin Dzeko their first two options to replace the Belgian should he be sold to Chelsea.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri plan to put €30-35 million of the fee received for Lukaku towards a striker, and that the two Serie A attackers are top of their list.

Zapata is thought to be the name most liked by the club to directly replace Lukaku, though there is work to be done to get the Colombian’s current club to agree to a deal.

La Dea are thought to be demanding €40-50 million for the 30-year-old, more than the Nerazzurri are ready to put towards an attacker this summer.

Dzeko, meanwhile, is another profile liked by the Nerazzurri, and with one year remaining on his deal with the Giallorossi would be seen as an attainable option.

The Bosnian’s agent Alessandro Lucci has offered the player to the club, and the player would be open to joining Inter, though he would not be considered a long-term option given his age of 35.
