Should Inter sell Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea, one of the first players they could bring in using part of the proceeds of his sale would be PSV’s Denzel Dumfries.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the club have re-ignited their interest in the Dutchman and are in talks with his agent Mino Raiola.

Dumfries is thought to be one of the main targets for the Nerazzurri to replace Achraf Hakimi after the Moroccan’s sale to Paris Saint-Germain, but so far as proved difficult to bring in due to the fee demanded by his current club, with the Dutch side valuing the player at around €20 million.

However, should the Nerazzurri receive a substantial cash injection from the Lukaku sale, they would look to immediately start using some of it to strengthen the squad.

To this end, negotiating with the Dutch club would no longer be a problem for the Nerazzurri, and they could move quickly for a major right-sided target in Dumfries.
