Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen will not be rushed back into a return to the pitch by the Nerazzurri, and the club will give him all the time he needs to continue along his recovery.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Dane spoke about the future during his visit to the club’s training ground yesterday, and does not intend to immediately undergo any medical tests with club doctors.

Eriksen visited with the squad and the staff, having lunch and greeting everyone before departing from the training centre early in the afternoon.

While there, the Dane indicated that he still intends to continue on with the recovery program advised by doctors in Denmark, and therefore will not immediately undergo the tests which will shed light on his future in football.

The Nerazzurri are prepared to be patient with the Dane and give him the time that he needs to recover, and will be ready to work with him whenever he wants to work towards a possible return.
