Inter striker Romelu Lukaku wants to have his move to Chelsea wrapped up quickly, with the Belgian uncomfortable with the situation at the Nerazzurri.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that fan protests about the striker’s sale have convinced the player that if he is to leave it should be soon, hoping for everything to be settled within the next 48 hours.
Lukaku had not initially been convinced by the idea of a move away this summer, but with the size of the offer from the European champions and talks progressing quickly between clubs he is ready to accept a move.
The 28-year-old is set to earn a net of €12 million per season plus €3 million in add-ons, and is ready for a new challenge.
Chelsea want to have the deal wrapped up as soon as possible as well, hoping to have the striker in training with their squad and working with manager Thomas Tuchel in preparation for the new season, and possibly available for the Super Cup fixture against Villarreal next Wednesday.
